Malaysian University English Test (MUET) is an English language proficiency test which consists of four papers: listening, speaking, reading and writing. It is a determinant for the students to get a place in university. Nevertheless, when it comes to speaking component, students have the tendency to forget about the rules, strategies, tips or advice for MUET speaking. Due to time constraint, teachers do not have sufficient time to reiterate the same lesson many times to ensure the students master in speaking. Thus, there is a need for teachers to conduct nonface-to-face lessons for speaking. As teachers, we have found that EdPuzzle can be used for flipped or blended learning in speaking lessons. We used this platform to upload and customise videos, insert questions or texts or audio, assess students and monitor the students' understanding in MUET speaking. To add weight to it, EdPuzzle has the access to videos from various sources such as You tube, Khan Academy, TedTalk and etc without ads or other distractions. Aditionally, students also found that it is helpful as they could learn about speaking independently with their own devices at their own pace outside the brick-and-mortar classroom. A comparison of the pre and post-speaking test scores (post-test 1) revealed that the students’ speaking performance has improved.
